Leeds City Council seem to have now brought it forward ever so slightly and put it in front of the left turn which takes traffic down Lady Lane.īus Gate Enforcement Camera's (Lady Lane and Vicar Lane) Originally this 'Bus Gate' was further back towards Kirkgate Market. Rumor has it that the enforcement will start after all of the city centre road works have been completed. There is also a diversion sign pointing LEFT down Lady Lane. It would appear (from the perspective of the social media users), that the signage is confusing - as there is a road marking pointing RIGHT in the direction of the headrow before the signage. This was the new 'Bus Gate' at the top end of Vicar Lane on the junction with Lady Lane - close to the Chinese supermarkets and Thai restaurants. One particular new 'Bus Gate' stood out and was the topic of discussion on social media. Much of the road network in to the city centre has been torn up and replaced with new Bus Lanes and Bus Gates, along with a new Cycle Network.
